Literature Text

Writing my name in sand won't bring me back,
No matter how much you want me to come.
Why don't you stop trying and hit the sack,
Continuing will surely appear dumb.
I repeat myself in saying you're vain;
Choosing to alienate yourself from
All who are willing to help with your pain.
And now I know how destroyed you've become.
To immortalize me is just beyond
Your farthest reach and uttermost domain.
Calling and expecting me to respond,
Will only conjure feelings of disdain.
But the attempts won't always be denied,
For I will always remember that you tried.
hehe this is just an old school assignment and I decided to put it up here. It's supposed to be a response to Edmund Spencer's "Sonnet 75" but i got the rhyme scheme wrong D: oh wells :D

I REALLY love the first two lines. Brilliant.
